Read-To-Me
Time to talk about some of my favorite picture books!
Froggy’s Sleepover by Jonathan London. I love, love, love Froggy’s Sleepover! Actually, I love all the Froggy books. I try to incorporate a Froggy book into all my storytimes!
Froggy’s Sleepover is fun because of all the crazy things that happen in the course of the evening. From the packing to the (eventual) sleeping, there is never a dull moment! My daughter loves all the crazy places Froggy keeps his belongings…like his toothbrush is found in the toy chest. Also entertaining is the fact that Froggy has such a hard time getting his act together and his mother is forever yelling “Frrooggyy!” and Froggy’s response of “Wha-a-a-a-t” always gets a giggle.
Other favorite books of mine include:
Books with a Library theme:
Lola At The Library by Anna McQuinn
The Library by Sarah Stewart
The Wheels on the Bus by Paul Zelinsky (has a fun “surprise” ending that makes it perfect for a library theme)
Listed below are some more authors that preschoolers will enjoy!
Authors
Laura Numeroff, Jonathan London, Jane O’Connor, Rosemary Wells, Mo Willems, Doreen Cronin…..
More to come!
